Starting October 15, 2026, the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg District Office’s neighborhood service center will be coming to the EAST SIDE MALL on a regular basis. Under the name EAST SIDE KIEZ, a mobile civic service office will be on site every third Thursday of the month—no appointment necessary.
From 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., you can easily take care of various civil affairs, such as registering or changing your residence, applying for an ID card or passport, obtaining a certificate of residence, or applying for a certificate of good conduct. Driver’s license services are also available.
EAST SIDE KIEZ also offers additional advisory services from the district office, including those from the registry office, housing office, and Family Service Office.
You can easily combine a trip to the government office with a visit to the mall. You’ll find the EAST SIDE KIEZ on Level 2 of the EAST SIDE MALL, Tamara-Danz-Straße 11, 10243 Berlin.
Payment for fee-based services is accepted on-site exclusively via card (no cash). Passport photos can be taken on-site for €6.00.
